Malevolent, neutral or benevolent Universe?

A short story to make you think.

It’s me in all the rainbows!

When the rain is heavy and relentless is the Universe saying “ha haaaa, you’re getting wet, you’re cold and miserable, I want to make you uncomfortable”

Is it neutral: “I’m just doing my thing; the water vapour condenses and falls — rain — you can like it ,or whatever”

Or is it something else?

I did a magic mushroom trip last summer at the start of one of the most ferocious thunderstorms I’d ever experienced. There was such a variety of loud sounds. I was in awe of the power the sound of those air molecules as they rubbed against each other.

When the rain started I delighted in it (not yet being cold), did a little dance, stretched my arms out wide and enjoyed the coolness of the drops as they landed on my face.

It kept raining and soon there were puddles. Then those puddles overflowed and started to make streams. My bag was on the floor, I lifted it onto a rock and covered it with my poncho to protect my precious sketchbook contained therein. The sky thundered on.

After about half an hour there had been so much rain that the enclosed firepit I had been sitting at was now a paddling pool four inches deep.
